another week has past and i’m heading out the door for the weekly ride through the neighborhood – physical therapy. we are caught up with the current projects and have a breathing break until the next whirl wind of assignments pass through. so, what did i think about on this weeks ride – cerebral therapy. read away my friends ..
i take about 45 to 60 minutes of saddle time before i get into a thought process. then i observe something that stimulates the senses or cerebral cortex into my final 45 to 60 minutes saddle time. this week my mind flutter about with the social aspects of current affairs when a butterfly passed me by.
i immediately thought about the social media addicted guys and gals that don’t have any business use for the strategical software platforms other than chit chat. i would call them the electronic butterfly. these peeps who signup and login to dropin to read how other folks are using the social media platforms. electronic butterfly peep creeps.
society hasn’t created a new form of social butterfly. we just created a new platform to keep them fluttering. these otherwise dull characters living in a cocoon existence. suddenly, there’s an explosion of fluttering color bursting into a social frenzy by thumbing the latest while listening. is this a clever ability to multi-task or the defining skill sets of the peep creep emerging.
for those of us kept busy physically and mentally in our daily lives, we rely on the power of social media tools for getting our message out to the masses. social media is an exceptional tool for promoting both good and bad. the flick of your thumb and your message of wrong or write hits the proverbial fan of life. the social butterfly loves to linger in this artificial breeze.
so, do we find a way to unplug the electronic butterfly or perhaps just zap them when they fly by? i know, i know, i know … get to the point – which is exactly my point. peep creeps don’t want to read or listen to the message. they just want the cole’s note version to text or chit chat. how would they remember an entire story to flap in the breeze. just the fact jack, no frills jill. [i’m gonna break into a song soon]
the best thing to do with the peep creep is to give them something to chew on that’s not real. wait for it to come around again and share the laughter. you remember those sticky strips that hang on the porch or in the barn that attracts bugs. place the proverbial fan about 10 ft away and wait for the butterfly flutter …
